Free admission, days and times open:

The museum is now open on Thursday and Saturday from 10am to 4pm. Special visits for small groups can be arranged on other days by contacting the museum by email and making arrangements with the Director.

The ground floor is open, but the upstairs is still temporarily closed. Masks or face shields are required. Test and Trace is being followed.

The museum is well signposted from the Marketplace in the centre of town. The sign is next to the water pump in front of the church of St Peter and St Paul.

About the Museum

Blandford Museum tells the story of Blandford Forum through displays and artefacts from Blandford Forum and the surrounding villages. We are a Free-entry, Volunteer-run Museum.

Blandford Town Archives

Archives

The Museum has a considerable Archive relating to the life of the town and surrounding villages. It includes maps, journals, research notes, family information, property deeds, photographs, newspapers, historical notes and documents.

The museum conducts research in a wide number of fields. We hold a large archive, library, maps, and photograph collection. This is available to the public upon request.
