Victorian Garden Group has developed, maintained and managed the Victorian Garden since its creation in 2008.
The Group currently comprises about 12 Museum Members. Some are regular gardeners while others support in the background and at events. The volunteers have a wide range of age, background and talents. They are encouraged to follow their passions so there is always something of interest for everyone.
The Victorian Garden is completely self-funded, mainly by sales of plants raised by the Garden Group. Our main fundraising events are the Georgian Fayre Bank Holiday in May and Blandford Hidden Gardens in June, and we also sell plants at Coffee Mornings organised by the Museum in the garden.
The Group is open to all members of Blandford Museum, and we are always delighted to welcome new members. We are currently working in the Garden from 1030 to 1300 every Tuesday morning. For more information, please contact the Museum.
