Museum Shop

Our shop offers visitors the opportunity to buy local, handmade gifts or souvenirs, including books, greetings cards and childrens’ toys, all at very competitive prices. We also sell local honey, and homemade jams and chutneys as well as plants and seeds produced by our Victorian Garden Group. We are in the process of becoming a waste-free shop and try to carry environmentally friendly gifts.

We would particularly like to encourage local artisans to display their work in the shop, to provide a more individual choice for our visitors and to promote the wealth of talent in the North Dorset area. Local artists supply most of our cards, and the museum produces numerous booklets on topics related to Blandford. So, if you are looking for that special gift, drop in to see us – we may have exactly what you want.

If you are a local artist or maker and would like to use the museum shop as a showcase, please contact us by phone or email.

The museum is available for hire on Wednesdays or in the evenings, offering a unique setting for your corporate or social event. We can accomodate 20-30 people depending on the layout and facilities that you need. We have computer projection facilities and a small kitchen area that can be used to prepare refreshments. Please contact us to discuss your requirements.
