Welcome to our Virtual Museum! Although we love to welcome visitors to our Museum in Blandford, we understand that not everyone is able to come to us, and the layout of our historic building makes the upper floor inaccessible to those unable to climb stairs. So we are bringing some of the Museum to you through our Virtual Museum web pages. From here you can watch videos about some of our exhibits from our YouTube channel, examine 3-dimensional photographs of selected exhibits, and find other content that we will be adding to in the future.

YouTube Videos

Click on the picture to go to the Blandford Museum’s Youtube channel. Here you will find 10 short, sub-titled films showing items from our collection and describing their role in our local history. There is also a video showing how the Museum uses Navilens and audio guides for visually impaired visitors

The films were created in 2025 by local artist Flick Baker for the Museum’s Reaching Out With Sound project. The narrator is Blandford musician Dan Baker, who also composed and played all the original music.
