Now that the hot weather is over for this summer, the Victorian Garden group has restocked the shelves by the museum door so that plants are available to purchase 24/7 using the honesty box. They have a wonderful selection of hardy perennials and shrubs that can be planted out in the next few weeks, and some half hardy plants that you can enjoy until the autumn frosts (or keep frost-free over winter).
The monthly Saturday Plant Sales alongside the the Coffee Mornings in the Museum Garden have been popular this year, with the final plant sale of 2026 on Saturday 10th October, weather permitting. The Museum and Gift Shop will also be open and entry is FREE, although donations are most welcome!
