Despite the rather inclement weather, and competition from the Wimbledon Women’s singles final, the third annual Green Fair at the Arches was the biggest yet. Blandford’s mayor, Nocturin Lacey-Clarke, was amongst about 200 people supporting the event, which was organised by the Blandford Museum Sustainability Forum and the Blandford Environmental Trust. The 19 exhibitors’ stalls included the Repair Cafe and other charities, recycled items, sustainable pet items, homemade candles and soaps, vegan food, drinks and pizza. Musical entertainment throughout the day was provided by Woman Wants Tall Man, the museum’s own Clara and Colin, and Dorset Rural Music School’s “Sing for Pleasure”.
