The first “Last Friday ” social event of 2026 went with a swing, as you can see from the video. Members and friends enjoyed drinks, home-made tapas and lively conversation in the Victorian Garden as the sun went down on a beautiful warm evening.
We hope to repeat this popular event with a different food theme on the Last Friday of each month until September, if the weather is fine. However, our Museum Events Group could really use more help in planning, setting up, preparing and serving food, and clearing away afterwards. If you have enjoyed our social events and would like to be part of the happy band of volunteers that make them happen, please get in touch. You don’t need to commit to every event, but the more people we can call on, the more flexible we can be.
