The Museum’s Victorian Garden will be closed to visitors until February 2025. This is to enable access for major changes to the layout of the plot to create a new shed and compost area.
The gardeners will also be clearing many of the beds ready for the spring.
During the next few weeks a wide range of plants propagated on site will still be available to buy. These are displayed at the Museum Door, please put your money through the letterbox when the museum is closed.
Please visit the Garden again in the spring to enjoy this peaceful space within the town, sit awhile and listen to the birds or eat your packed lunch.
New gardeners are always welcome to join, working on Tuesday mornings throughout most of the year, just come along or leave your details at the Museum and someone will contact you.
